What to have ready
- Your neighborhood and the type of building: co-op, condo, rental, townhouse or commercial space.
- What needs painting: which rooms, ceilings, trim, cabinets or exterior surfaces.
- The rough age of the building, and whether the walls are plaster.
- Any repairs you know about: cracks, leak stains, peeling paint or wallpaper.
- Your building's rules for contractors, or the managing agent's contact for the insurance certificate.
- Photos of the rooms or surfaces, if you can send them.
What happens next
We arrange a free estimate and look at the surfaces with you. You then receive a written quote that lists the prep, the paint, the number of coats and the price. Once you agree, we sort out your building's paperwork and set a start date.
